What we collect

When you use the counter form we take your name, email address and the message you write. The web server also logs your IP address with the enquiry, which helps us spot spam. That's the lot — we don't ask for an account, and there's no payment taken on the site.

Why we hold it

To reply to you and to keep a record of the conversation if it turns into an order or a repair. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering people who contact the shop, and where it becomes an order, taking steps to fulfil it.

How long

Enquiries that go nowhere are cleared within twelve months. Anything tied to an order or a repair we keep for six years, because tax and consumer-rights rules in the UK expect us to.

Who sees it

Reggie and nobody else. We don't sell or share your details, and there's no third-party marketing tool plugged into this site. Our email and web hosting providers process the data on our behalf under contract, inside the UK or EU.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to us holding it. Email the address above and we'll sort it within a month. If you think we've got it wrong you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
