What's on this shelf

The short version

A drawer of things you can play on the train to Ramsgate. Game Boys, Game Gears, Lynxes and the early Nintendo DS — most have had a fresh screen and a new shell, because a thirty-year-old handheld earns its keep by still looking the part.

  • IPS screen refits and battery swaps
  • Original and aftermarket shells in stock
  • Chargers and link cables sorted to match

How we sell it

Old handhelds live a hard life — pockets, beaches, the bottom of a rucksack. We open every one, clean the contacts, test the screen for dead lines and the speaker for crackle, and fit a fresh shell where the original is past it. A modern IPS panel turns a washed-out Game Boy into something you can actually see in the sun on the front at Margate, which is rather the point.
